About Us

High quality bikes, components & clothes for cyclists who love to race cyclo-cross, MTB cross country, gravel, road & triathlon.

“HUP!” (the Dutch word for “Go!”) is widely used during Spring Classic road races and Belgian Cyclocross by Flemish fans. HUP Competition Cycling was born in Belgium to create a unique range of products, including UCI approved race bikes and wheelsets - all developed specifically for youth and adult cyclists who want the best.

We are often asked how the company started and how the Belgian connection came about? The comapny started life in south-east England, where the cycling facilities were poor at best, we struggled to find safe places to ride!

With it’s network of quiet lanes, Spring Classic races and Cyclo-cross culture, Belgium was a regular destination for many cyclists in the south of England. We would visit dozens of times every year for holidays, sportives and to race road and CX events, as it was just a couple of hours drive from home.

Now located in Scotland, the one place that inspired, influenced and created our brand is where it all began, down the lanes, up the bergs and outside the cafes of Belgium. The old-school HUP shield is a nod to the revered cycling history of Flanders, with constant shouts from race fans of “HUP, HUP, HUP!” making the HUP™ brand name a simple choice.

In 2016 HUPcc began by creating race-specific, rider-sized components (drop bars, cranks, saddles and stems) and handmade Italian lycra clothing. In 2019, we added superlight bike frames and wheelsets in both Youth and Adult sizes.

Each bike can be customised for the rider, creating the ultimate experience through correct bike fit and genuinely low weight: 'Light enough to win, yet still affordable' is our mantra.

With bikes on every continent and 1000's of podiums, we've revolutionised the custom-build market.
